Paving the way for tomorrow's professionals

I have been working for EREMA since August 2017 and am now in the training workshop, where, as a trained mechanical engineer, I pass on my knowledge to the specialists of tomorrow. I experience EREMA as a modern and pioneering company that offers many social benefits and an open and collegial atmosphere. Working in a great team on constantly changing challenges makes me feel good. I also value what EREMA stands for.

It is very important to me that future generations will also find a planet worth living on. In order to achieve this, we must be aware that resources will eventually be exhausted. That is why it is so important to reprocess raw materials and use them again and again. This applies not only, but of course also to the plastics sector. When I, as part of EREMA, help to make the world cleaner with our machines and create jobs for other people, then I have the feeling that I am doing something worthwhile. I think a lot about what I can do better. That's why I decided to switch from component production to the training workshop. Here I can pass on my experience and knowledge to future specialists. Also what I try privately to contribute to an environmentally conscious life: shopping regionally, repairing things and reusing them. For example, I also cycle to work. This is where I combine hobbies and sustainability.

Calming and respectful

"Be the person who you would like to meet" is one of my guiding principles. I abide by that principle - and so does my employer 3S. I have been working here on the management team since April 2021 and have set up the apprentice workshop, among other things.

I appreciate the high level of social competence of the company and the EREMA Group. For example, apprentices are considered part of the team from a very early stage. We offer not only a secure job, but also an appreciative environment where you work independently and yet together on challenges.

I personally feel that what we are doing has meaning - because our machines can create positive things. Even as a child I enjoyed the outdoors, it is still an important source of calm for me today.

We live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world - and we need to keep it that way. Natural resources are becoming increasingly scarce. If we want to maintain our quality of life, we need to live sustainably. That is something that the EREMA Group and we at 3S contribute to.

Family person with a hands on mentality

It's actually quite simple: the dirtier we leave the planet, the dirtier the next ones will find it. I am convinced that we should always keep an eye on other people, and not just on ourselves. The EREMA Group also lives by this: We are already taking care of the next generation here today. For me, recycling is part of life. I grew up without it: back then we threw everything in a trash can. When I was old enough to do better myself, I did. Today I work as an office and shipping clerk in the circular economy and every day I contribute to something great for our environment. I am responsible for delivering the machines to customers and can therefore see how many systems we "put out" and thus also how many recycling systems will be in operation in the future to make something new out of the old. This shows me what positive changes can result from new ideas. And that I don't have to worry about my job in any crisis. Because the world market leader EREMA is needed!

I like working here because the colleagues are great and it's a family-friendly company. This is how the recycling idea is passed on to the next generation. At least that's what I teach my children! EREMA has made a very good name for itself, especially among young people. As the apprentice coordinator for company logistics, I am particularly pleased about that. In this role, I don't judge the apprentices based on their grades. I prefer to get to know them by getting an idea of ​​their personality and work motivation – that's more important to me. A straight A in math is secondary if the person in question lacks social skills! It is crucial that the apprentices remain motivated and like coming to work. I try to contribute to that.

Environmentally conscious positive thinker

There are many things that matter to me, above all how people, animals and our living space are treated. I am convinced that we have to learn how to use resources sparingly if we want to protect nature and its creatures. Instead of exploitation, we have to find our way back to a healthy balance. I am convinced that positive change starts with a positive attitude of one's own. If you think positively, you act positively. If everyone pulls on the same end of the rope and has the same goal in mind, nothing can go wrong. That's how we handle it at EREMA, and that's why I like working here so much: Together we make a big contribution to a healthy environment!

Sticking together, appreciation and mutual support are just as important as honesty and security. Our industry is important for the future. That is why an apprenticeship or a job at EREMA offers long-term security. For my part, I work as an office clerk in the company. Working with numbers and accuracy are important. As an apprentice coordinator for finance and accounting assistance, I also teach you how you can make a valuable contribution, too.

Global Ambassador for Plastics Recycling

I have been traveling around the world as a commissioning technician for EREMA's "Vacunite" since October 2021. I am a trained toolmaking technician and have completed both my high school diploma  and the foreman school for mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. Training our customers and teaching them to work with our systems is what drives me. Meeting new technical and organizational challenges helps me personally and my flexibility allows me to respond to a wide variety of situations.

This is exactly where EREMA proves to be the right employer. Flexibility is one of their greatest strengths. The lively company culture and the opportunity to organize work yourself or in a team brings a lot of variety and a high degree of self-realization. You feel part of the team and valued by your colleagues. Working in plastics recycling not only brings me joy, I can also experience in real time how the world becomes a little cleaner with every plant that we put into operation.

On this point, I am on the same page as EREMA: It doesn't help to just talk about grievances, you have to tackle things. I support EREMA in creating a global circular economy and thereby creating a better future. Because we care!

Athletic Systems-Checker

The apprenticeship as an information and communication technician is exactly what suits me. Why? Because it's a varied job: I work on different servers and different systems and thus support the internal cooperation decisively. In addition, as an IT technician, it is my job to make systems work again. In this way, I help other people directly. Whenever I succeed, I know that my work is valuable and that I am helping to change something for the better.

This is where the future lies: using what already exists and making it functional again. This is a great opportunity for all of us! In this regard, the EREMA Group and I are exactly on the same wavelength. Incidentally, it is not true that all IT technicians only sit at the PC. I do a lot of sport in my free time - it's a great balance and makes me fit for my work.

Responsible perfectionist who appreciates quality

Trust, flexibility and great future visions: that is the foundation on which EREMA is built. This is not only evident in the clear goals, but above all in the way the people here work together. Employees are the most important factors for success - it is obvious that is the way EREMA thinks.

No matter how small the nuts and bolts are: they are all important for a working machine. That's exactly how we work together as a team, and that relationship is exactly why I'm happy with my job. "How did you do that?" my managers sometimes ask me, puzzled. This gives me the good feeling that my work contributes something valuable. Even if some things already seem perfect, I always want to do it better. That helps everyone, and when we are then praised as a team, that is the best compliment for my work.

I like it when I am allowed to achieve new goals and handle new challenges - and, it is great to work in a future-oriented, innovative company that attaches great importance to fairness! Also to the environment: recycling is not just the future, but also the present. The world doesn't work without recycling. We are already witnessing pollution of the earth, water and air on a massive scale. We all have a responsibility when it comes to conserving the world for the next generation.

Energetic pursuer of ideas

Everyone should contribute to making the future better. I make my contribution by doing my apprenticeship at EREMA. I work here because my future and that of the next generations is at stake. Working here means doing something worthwhile. That spurs me on. And if it gets strenuous in between, I'm convinced: After the hardship, there's always relief! When an INTAREMA K recycling system that I assembled is delivered and used plastic is recycled with it, that makes me proud. The bonus: When my trainer praises my clean, error-free work.

I don't find it difficult to make an effort and stick with my work. I always had a lot of energy as a child and I still do a lot of sports. Now I put a large part of my energy into my work. I really like doing that – also because I have such great colleagues who make teamwork really fun. I not only learn technical things, but also a lot about values ​​and skills that also help me as a person in my private life. This also includes recognizing problems and looking for solutions. What seems unsolvable, is a motivating challenge for me and I look forward to passing on what I was able to learn and find out for myself in the years to come.

Motivated Forward Thinker

The climate is changing as a result of environmental degradation. And that in turn can mean that people lose their livelihoods and have to flee. That's why pollution and conflict are also connected - and I care. I think if I work in the field of circular economy after my apprenticeship as a finance and accounting assistant, I can do something about it. After all, recycling is the future to avoid mountains of rubbish and curb environmental degradation! My motto: If you stop wanting to get better, you stop being good. The EREMA Group and I share the vision of a better environment and a better future.

I also like that my apprenticeship company gives me the opportunity to work in an international environment. There are numerous opportunities for advancement here and the employees appreciate each other and work together. The best thing for me is to go home happily at the end of the day because I know that my colleagues, our customers and suppliers are happy too.

Solution-oriented optimist and fair team player

As a child I was already interested in technology and it soon became clear that I wanted to follow a technical profession. That's why I completed an apprenticeship as an industrial electrician. At EREMA I gained more knowledge as an acceptance test electrician. Today, I pass this knowledge on to young people myself as an apprentice trainer. At the moment I am helping 16 apprentices work towards becoming professional technicians.

My employer gives me a lot of freedom and trust, which motivates me a lot. Especially in apprentice training it is important to try out new things every now and then, so the work remains exciting and challenging. My work means a great deal to me. After all, I am investing in the colleagues of tomorrow!

The greatest thing for me is when I see apprentices after 3.5 years of apprenticeship, how they have become fully integrated employees. Teaching and still being a good listener is just as important to me as looking at the big picture. I don't just see the trainees, but the people behind them. In this way, even difficult situations can be solved - because mutual respect ensures the basis for discussion. It is not just about numbers, but about people and that they get the support that they need. The time I spend at work is very important to me, which is why I invest it in a company that shares my values.

With people who support and motivate each other, a great deal can be achieved on both a small and a large scale. Because the company is constantly growing and developing, new perspectives and opportunities are also constantly being created for young, dedicated colleagues. I enjoy working in a large, dynamic team that treats each other with respect.

You can tell you are in the right job when it doesn't drain energy, but gives you energy. That's why there's no reason for me to think about an employer other than EREMA.

Explaining bear & fan of change

As an "explaining bear", I like to tell the people around me about plastics, recycling and sustainability. This often leads to interesting, in-depth discussions. Passing on knowledge and information is also part of my work as a Process Technician at EREMA and as a training representative for commissioning technicians. It is always important to me to show others alternative ways, but not to try to change their minds. It's important to me to let everyone express their opinion. It's about being with each other, not against each other. That's the only way we can be the driving force for the circular economy and a clean world.

I find it hard to imagine working for any other company. I appreciate that it is people that are in the foreground, rather than their work or education. Here, everyone is treated with the same level of respect. And because of that, many of my colleagues have already become friends. I can also identify very well with the vision and mission. And my values are very much in line with the company's.

Standing still means step backwards - especially in terms of an important topic such as the future of our planet. It's all the more rewarding when in my job I can teach others, help them progress, so that over the long term we make a contribution to the success of the company and to global recycling.

I am fully behind my work when the projects are thought through to the end and when I see that the trainees - my new colleagues - become more independent. Especially if I then receive positive feedback from them for my work. This can cause goose bumps moments now and again.

Creative, electrifying person with a sense of humor

Each of us is a small cog wheel in a big machine. I mean that in a very positive way, because it means: we are all important in order to close the recycling loop. Recycling is the future. It drives the economy, creates jobs and helps the environment. Everyone benefits from that! I think it's great to work as an apprentice in this area. Our trainer in the field of electrical engineering always says: "Without us there would be no functioning systems and therefore no recycled granulate." That thought motivates me!

As an electrical engineer, it's my job to wire one of our smaller system types. I'm really proud of my work when, when the system is accepted and quality control reports: "No errors found. Everything perfect!” Or when experienced skilled workers tell me that they enjoy working with me. I feel like I can make a valuable contribution.

I was interested in the world of electrical engineering from an early age. That's why I was already electrified as a little boy - not only because I once reached into a light bulb socket... I also think it's great that I can also use the skills I learned as a hobby photographer in my apprenticeship: for both you need a lot of creativity.

I really enjoy working at the EREMA Group. The working atmosphere is collegial and fun. Communication is at eye level across all departments. I think it's nice to get involved in this atmosphere with my willingness to help and my optimistic, humorous nature. This is how colleagues quickly become friends.

Number cruncher with a heart for animals

When you are part of a good team you always find something to laugh about, even in stressful situations. That's the kind of team I have here at the EREMA Group - and on top of that, I have a boss who trusts me completely and always supports me! This contributes to the fact that I feel completely at home here in the company. As an accountant, I spend a lot of time crunching numbers. In my job, it is important that I work accurately and complete tasks on time. In addition to handling all the accounts receivable, I also handle the transfer of invoices and the payment of salaries. "The way you do it works well" is a compliment that always makes me very happy.

EREMA is the world's number 1 in the field of plastics recycling machines. Who wouldn't want to be able to say they work for the world's number 1? Despite constant growth, I have the feeling that everyone still knows each other - even the management, who have a strong relationship with the employees.

I completed my apprenticeship at EREMA and then attended a number of further training courses. Not only are the employees well integrated professionally, they are also well integrated at a human level. For example, I visit the in-house gym with my colleagues. For me, this is a clear sign that we appreciate the EREMA environment very much.

I think it's great to work in this industry because I care about what happens to the environment and wildlife. I used to want to be a vet, and I've kept that love of animals. Through my work at EREMA I contribute a little bit to the protection of animals in the wild worldwide. After all, recycling machines make it possible, among other things, to reduce pollution of the world's oceans.

Coordination talent at her career start.

After graduating from Highschool for mechanical and automotive engineering in Steyr, I started at EREMA in November 2022 as a technical clerk in project management. I experience the company as cutting-edge, ambitious and challenging because EREMA is always striving to develop new innovations. You can also sense this spirit among colleagues and that makes me enjoy going to work every day, just like the comprehensive training and further education on offer. In a world where the challenges are constantly changing, this gives me a perfect start into my professional life.

I see plastic recycling as an important element in closing cycles. I think this is necessary if we want to continue living well in the future, preserve the environment, conserve resources and counteract environmental pollution. I work towards this goal every day at EREMA together with my colleagues. At the moment, as a young professional, I am mainly getting to know processes and ways of working because I am assigned in many different areas. I help with larger projects, substitute during absences and thus get a comprehensive insight. This suits my passion for planning and order. In project management, the most important thing is to coordinate the different processes and procedures well. My hobby also helps me with this. In my free time, I can often be found on the slopes or downhill trails. No matter whether it's cycling or snowboarding - it's always about maintaining control and having a certain coordination ability. For me, that translates well into the job.

At EREMA I have found a future-proof job with which I contribute to making our world a little bit better. And I do this in an appreciative and collaborative working environment. This fits in well with my attitude to work and my motto in life: "What you give is what you get."

Technical tinkerer and conscientious optimiser

The ecological footprint we leave behind not only affects the environment, but also the way we live. I know that my actions also play a big role in the future - that's why I work for a green technology company whose products make it possible to save resources and reduce CO2. A challenging task! But that is exactly what I need to make my work worth doing. That, a great team and a good espresso!

I always wanted to become a technician, and electrical engineering in particular interested me from an early age. As a kid, I used to help my dad fix things around the house. Today I am a process control engineer.

My job is to continuously scrutinise processes and make sure they are perfectly coordinated. By optimising plants and ensuring higher efficiency, I create value for people and the environment. The mix of test runs, meetings and recording results make my job interesting and challenging. It gives me a good feeling to roll out projects that support everyone involved, customers and colleagues.

Where others face challenges, I see opportunity. So many things are possible when you put your mind to it! That's why I cycle to work every day, in all seasons, in all weathers. My passion is also my job!

Idea generator and outside-the-box thinker

I am enthusiastic about new ideas. For a process control engineer working on a development project for a new type of plant, that's exactly what's required - developing and contributing new ideas. That's what I appreciate about EREMA: that it's always about further development. There is a lot of space for that in the company. When something new works as planned it's a great feeling.

I have been with EREMA since my apprenticeship from 2011 to 2014. At the end of 2020, after completing my FH bachelor's degree in "Mechatronics/Economics", I switched to automation technology. What I appreciate about EREMA is the goal orientation with which projects are pursued. Together with my world-class colleagues, among whom there is a strong sense of team spirit, I always keep a positive outlook on the future. In this way, we can think together about how we can help shape an environment in which humanity can continue to live well in the future. Recycling or a circular economy will be the key to reducing the scarcity of resources. These are great challenges. Meeting them in such a pleasant working atmosphere, where there is mutual support, a high degree of freedom in decision-making and a lot of trust, is what motivates me. When I make knowledge available to colleagues, when I accompany commissionings and can implement new ideas, I have the feeling that I am doing something valuable.

Motivated newcomer with perspective

I started my office apprenticeship at EREMA in September 2021. I was immediately impressed by how much importance EREMA attaches to ensuring that the training is based on solid foundations. I experience a secure workplace here, with appreciative treatment and support to be perfectly prepared for future challenges. The company accompanies me every step of the way. At the first apprenticeship school graduation as well as at the final apprenticeship examination and with numerous - also internal - further training opportunities. That fits in well with how I would like to deal with people. Showing and receiving respect is very important to me. In everyday work and in private life. I experience that every day at EREMA. I enjoy my work a lot and it is very varied. Especially when I can support people and help them. That's what it means to work in a team. I really appreciate the fact that I have the opportunity to organise my work flexibly.

I am concerned with how we as people shape our future. In my opinion, the slogan "Because I care" really fits this. Because it does matter what happens to our world and to plastic. As part of the EREMA GROUP, I can be part of how we get closer to the circular economy step by step.

Creative developer who enjoys getting results

I started at EREMA in 1987 - as the 2nd apprentice ever! Time has gone quickly and I have passed through many departments at EREMA. And I still enjoy helping to shape the company's development with my ideas and creativity - now as a process engineer, helping to develop innovations and drive their implementation.

There is no question in my mind that recycling is the future and that we can all do something to protect the environment. It cannot go on like this with the human race dragging the earth into an abyss through greed and striving for ever more profit. Every day I experience what becomes possible when we keep a few simple things in mind.

A change in thinking needs to happen so that each of us makes a contribution. Change can only work if we make it happen together. Helping to shape improvements is important to me if only because I have two great boys who I want to inherit the world so they can live full and enjoyable lives in it.

The course we are on here at EREMA simply makes sense. This encourages me to continue my education, to stay on the ball and to inspire younger colleagues. That is how we achieve results that are really needed.

Helpful go-getter who makes it happen

When our customers place an order for another machine, and when colleagues place their trust in me and thank me for my work, then I know: I am doing meaningful work here at EREMA and creating value for others. Also for the environment; the habitat of plants and animals that depend on the way we humans behave. Respecting people as individuals is very important to us at EREMA - in relation to the environment as well as working together within the company.

Friendliness, helpfulness and initiative are as important to me as they are to my employer. In my job, I can put these traits to good use:

As an Export Sales Assistant, I assist our customers with the complete export process, starting with the preparation of quotations and contracts, through shipment and preparing export and bank documents, to the first steps commissioning the machine. It's a job with variety thanks to many interfaces within the company, which I really enjoy.

Even some of my personal leisure activities are connected to the company: I use the company gym, meet colleagues outside work and get to travel a lot thanks to business trips and trade fairs. I immediately felt at home in this sociable, supportive and at the same time responsible and modern working atmosphere!

Team spirit and composure for the professionals of tomorrow

In 2018, I started at EREMA in the electrical final inspection department as a plant electrician and have now been working in EREMA's apprentice workshop as an apprentice trainer in the field of electrical engineering since the beginning of 2023.

I experience EREMA as a thoughtful and innovative company that offers many opportunities for development. Here you have one of the world's best company kitchens, the chance to make a contribution to environmental protection, to develop interesting and innovative systems and to maintain international customer contacts. At EREMA, I find attractive development opportunities in both my professional and private life and an environment that brings it all together.

I am very concerned about how we treat each other and the environment. That's why it's so important to work in a way that conserves resources so that we don't destroy our planet. When I see my apprentices becoming more independent step by step and implementing what they have learned, it makes me proud. Because I guide these young people on their way to becoming skilled workers. Together with my team, I lead them to this goal and thus also a step towards a self-determined life. This is what makes apprenticeship training meaningful and sustainable. I think my strengths are my calmness and composure. When I was a child, I wanted to be a football player. Now I can live that team spirit here at EREMA. In the meantime, I play tennis and go hiking, and I like to go to the theatre for a change of pace.

Motivated teamplayer and problem solver

A motivated team, an environment with room for development and suitable challenges - that's what I need to work with enthusiasm. And that is exactly what EREMA offers. In this dynamic environment, your own ideas get room, so that they can be turned into solutions that help other people. Whenever this happens, I know that what we do is valuable because it has a lasting effect. I share my employer's view that problems should not be ignored, but tackled. You have to have the courage to break new ground from time to time. The global scarcity of resources should have shown us the importance of recycling for a long time. For me, this topic is close to my heart, which is why the waste collection center sees me every week.

I've been working at EREMA since 2005, while I completed my "Information Security Management" training at the Danube University Krems at the same time. Today I am group leader of the ICT infrastructure. In my job – as the person responsible for infrastructure and information security – I can show my greatest strength: I always keep a cool head, even in the most challenging situations. At the same time, I like being able to make a difference with a team in a positive atmosphere – especially as an apprentice coordinator and lecturer together with young people.

Pioneer with a passion for research

I like the multi-faceted applications my company delivers. On the one hand, the Group covers the "big picture", but at the same time always keeps an eye on the details and sustainability aspects. We handle our tasks with responsibility and energy. The strong feeling of togetherness does not exclude self-development and self-determined work. We keep up with the times while at the same time are always one step ahead. That's what makes pioneers!

I think it's great that trust is placed in everyone. Praise is given and employees are actively encouraged to think for themselves. This also applies to the apprenticeship workshops, where we are actively looking to nurture the talents of tomorrow. In the team, you sense that everyone has a similar mindset. Also in terms of recycling and upcycling. You can feel the enthusiasm and conviction for what we do here.

This also applies to me, of course: I enjoy my work as a product manager in the Deinking & Water Technologies division at KEYCYCLE! By advancing technologies for removing ink from plastics and related R&D topics, I can improve the value stream, extend the value chain and make a significant contribution to the circular economy. The result is that I am fulfilling a childhood dream: back then, I wanted to become a biologist or a researcher, build drinking water treatment plants in Africa and make our earth a little better. The EREMA Group has made this possible for me.
